The Lane Library

Oxford, OH

CASE STUDY

The Lane Library

The Lane Library is a 24,600-square-foot, two-story building in Oxford, OH.

This public library location is part of an expansive development project continuing into 2024.

Our engineering team worked with Architect Mike Dingeldein of SHP (now owner of Community Design Alliance) and provided structural design and recommendations.

By using steel frames, we maintained the building’s lateral stability, vertical load capacity, and structural integrity, allowing the architect’s vision of a stunning open floor plan to come to life.

Light gauge metal trusses with stepped bearing elevations secured a vaulted center roof in the library’s design.

Our structural engineer’s design handled numerous exterior wall openings and tackled the challenges of limited options for major bearing walls or diagonal bracing.
