Structural Engineering For Former Camp Washington U.S. Chili Building

We provided structural engineering expertise for the historic former Camp Washington U.S. Chili Building.

The building was originally constructed in 1895 and had many uses over the years.

The lower level was once a bank, the upper floors served as a boarding house for rail workers. Then, for decades it was known as the U.S. Chili Building.

Our team helped stabilize the structure and bring it up to modern building code. CWURC owns the building, and the architect we collaborated with is Hub + Weber Architects.

The building will add apartment units and two commercial spaces to the neighborhood when complete.
