PROJECT FEATURE

Structural Engineering for The Ohio State University Airport Hangar

Our team provided structural engineering services for The Worthington Hangar at The Ohio State University.

As one of over 28 airport hangar projects our team has worked on over the years, this project was designed by Bascon in collaboration with us.

The scope included structural design for both the pre-engineered hangar and a conventional building system.

The hangar and lean-tos feature pre-finished metal wall panels and a standing-seam metal roof system. The lobby portion was constructed with an exposed steel structure, metal reveal wall panels & standing seam roof panels.

The Worthington Hangar is a corporate hangar designed to accommodate the Gulfstream 650, as well as offices, shops, and a lobby. The hangar has 28-foot-tall doors and expands 42,000 square feet.
