Colin Santangelo
Structural Engineering Intern
Colin is pursuing a degree in Architectural Engineering at the University of Cincinnati and plans to graduate in April 2029.
As an intern, Colin is excited to build the skills needed to fully check and verify residential structures on his own. So far, he has been working on roof designs and enjoys getting a behind-the-scenes look at some impressive luxury homes and the details that go into them.
What draws Colin to structural engineering is the wide range of building types and designs engineers get to work on. He likes that no two projects are the same and that the field offers exposure to many different areas of building design.
Outside of his internship, Colin is heavily involved in music at UC. He plays baritone with the pep band at basketball games, trombone in a jazz ensemble, and is currently working his way through building a Neuschwanstein Castle LEGO set.
