Structural Engineering Intern
Evan is pursuing a Civil Engineering degree and an MBA at the University of Cincinnati, with plans to graduate in Spring 2028.
As an intern, Evan has been getting hands-on experience in the structural engineering field, especially with wood design. So far, he has worked on designing SIP roof panels and learning how to apply the right design criteria to real projects.
What excites Evan most about structural engineering is the important role engineers play in keeping people safe every day, even if it often goes unnoticed.
Outside of work, Evan is part of UC’s Timber Strong team, where he is helping design a two-story light-framed structure that the team will build during competition.
